POLAVARAM / RAJAMAHENDRAVARAM (YUVA 9 Bureau): Engineering teams at the Polavaram multipurpose national project on the Godavari river are advancing construction of the new concrete diaphragm wall under the technical oversight of the Central Water Commission (CWC) and an international panel of dam safety experts.
Simultaneously, lining and structure works along the Polavaram Left Main Canal are being expedited to link Godavari floodwaters to the Yeleru reservoir system—securing long-term irrigation for North Coastal Andhra and municipal/industrial water supply for Visakhapatnam.
