“Connecting the Old City, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, and the 30,000-acre Bharat Future City via Metro Phase-2 will anchor Hyderabad's next three decades of sustainable growth.”
HYDERABAD (YUVA 9 Bureau): The Telangana administration has intensified inter-departmental coordination to secure final Network Planning Group clearances for Hyderabad Metro Rail Phase-2, an expansive 7-corridor, 122.9-kilometer transit network estimated at ₹38,595 crore under a Centre-State joint venture model.
Key corridors include the 7.5-kilometer Old City link from MGBS to Chandrayangutta, Nagole to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA), Raidurg to Kokapet Neopolis, Miyapur to Patancheru, LB Nagar to Hayathnagar, and the southern extension from RGIA to the upcoming Bharat Future City.
Spanning 30,000 acres between the Srisailam and Nagarjuna Sagar highways, Bharat Future City is being planned as India's first net-zero fourth city cluster—preserving 50 percent of its area as greenbelt while hosting a dedicated 200-acre AI City hub, life sciences campuses, and hyperscale cloud data centers.
